A fresh web design and build to reach both wholesale and retail customers
Fairtrade online wholesaler, Koseli Handmade, wanted a fresh design for their website, in order to attract more wholesale customers, as well as to reach out to retail customers.
Our brief was to come up with a fresh new look for their website, including an improved search and filter functionality, as well as opening up the site to a retail market for the very first time.
Koseli Handmade’s new website needed to feature an improved e commerce platform, to make it significantly easier to load and price an ever growing range of fairly traded products from Nepal.
The new site also had to offer the ability to let both wholesale and retail customers buy the same product, in differing amounts, at different prices.
User journeys mapped out and wireframes created
We mapped out the user journey, creating a set of user flows which outlined the most common tasks that a website user might want to complete.
We then created a series of wireframes to add structure and information architecture for the newly designed website.
This had to take into account two very different journeys, from a website user looking to buy a small number of items at retail price to a wholesaler purchasing in bulk at a reduced rate.
Eye catching design and search engine optimised content
Following the completion of the wireframes, we commenced the visual interface design, aimed at giving each product maximum standout as well as well sufficient space to add search engine optimised content.
The result was a fresh new look which can be easily shopped by all.
Lynne Mold, Founder and Director of Koseli Handmade commented:
“The Content Marketing Team built me a new and very complicated website for my business.
They patiently listened to everything I wanted, guided me when we ventured into areas I don’t understand and produced a website which suits me completely and is future proof.
Lots of my customers have commented on the ease of use and the design; and the ongoing support is fast and efficient. I can’t recommend them enough.”
